Lingcod Egg Mass Survey
We are in the middle of Lingcod Egg Mass Season, and it's time to do our part! We are working with the Vancouver Aquarium to collect and submit data that supports valuable research to ensure the species is recovering from historical over fishing. The data submitted will be sent to the Vancouver Aquarium and all divers who participate will get full credit for each survey submitted.
"By taking part in the Annual Lingcod Egg Mass Survey, you are helping to gather important information about a valuable local resource, which has declined to just 7-22% in the Strait of Georgia. Divers participating in this annual survey collect information on the number, size, condition, and position of egg masses, as well as whether or not a guarding male is present. Data such as these help us determine the health of local lingcod populations."

Rockfish Dive Community
One of the most important parts of Rockfish Divers is the community building with us. It's one thing to train people to dive, and another to provide them with equipment to dive. However, without a dive community, we wouldn't be able to create more opportunities to dive, gather, share, make a difference and expand on the knowledge we have already. There are things happening through Rockfish every week, so stay tuned to our SCHEDULE and the experiences presented below.
