Sidemount Diver

Picture
Do you want to extend your bottom time? Add some redundancy to your diving? Take it easier on your body? If you answered yes to any of these, sidemount diving may be perfect for you!

Sidemount diving has a lot of benefits. You dive with two tanks on your sides, so you generally (depending on tank size) have double the air. With the tanks on your sides your tank valves and regulators are up in front so in the event of an emergency it is easier to solve problems. Because the two tanks just clip to your sides, you can carry them individually down to the water, so you'll never have to walk around with heavy tanks strapped to you!

The Sidemount Diver Specialty teaches you how to use the extra gear, as well as gas management/consumption rules and much more.

The course is an evening of classroom training, 1 pool session, and 3 open water dives.

You are required to be an open water diver, who is at least 15 years old. Talk to us about equipment purchasing or renting options!

Cost is depended on class size and gear availability.
